Summary[]
Franklin[]
That night, prior to the previous episode, the Family has arrived at the Angelus Funeral Home and as Leon and some of the guys were unloading Jerome's body, Franklin explained to the funeral director that he wanted Jerome's cadaver ready as discreetly as possible and without alerting the cops, while offering him a wad of cash. The director accepted the bribe and agreed, claiming he would treat his deceased uncle the same way he treated his father. Leon and another man are rolling in Jerome on a stretcher with a bloodied and broken-hearted Louie following behind, and the funeral director takes over for Leon. They prepare to take Jerome's body to the backroom and as Louie was still following, the director stopped her, explaining they would need some time alone with her late husband, and promised to have him ready for burial in a day or two. Leon, Skully, and another Blood approached behind and Louie, who refused to be separated from her late husband, was being held back by Leon while a staff member was guarding the path. Franklin was listening as Louie was crying out with hysteria who was calling out Jerome's name. The front door slams shut as Leon is pulling Louie away while she was fighting to get back inside to her husband, but was a futile effort on her end.
Louie[]
Leon has arrived with Louie at her home in the hills. He pulled up in the driveway and exited the front seat then went to the passenger side where a distraught Louie was and extended his hand after opening the door. Louie took his hand as she exited the vehicle and approached her home, reeling from the events that turned her into a widow. As Louie pulled out her keys and was about to unlock the front door, Leon asked her if he needed to contact Buckley or anyone else. Instead, Louie pointed out that the war with Kane was done. Leon then offered to stick around if she wanted company, but Louie insisted he'd take off as she entered her home, leaving Leon to return to his car. Louie is now in her home and approached a horse statue with a display of the presents she and Jerome received on their wedding day. She then turned her head and gazed upon a portrait of her and Jerome on their wedding. Knowing full well she lost the man she had been married to for a short time, she let out a sob, but stopped and approached a mirror to see the damage Kane has done to her, including the brand he left upon her chest. She further broke into tears after seeing what she was put through leading up to Jerome's death.
Teddy[]
Over at his safehouse, Teddy received a phone call from Havemeyer being informed that Rubén as evaded the CIA near the Sherman Oaks Galleria, despite Teddy's recent threats. Teddy stated they knew what it was Rubén wanted and stated that either he would surface or disappear. Teddy then requested further contact should Havemeyer have anymore intel. Teddy then hung up and closed the window curtains. Parissa then appeared asked if there was a problem and Teddy stated there wasn't as he grabbed a duffel bag off the coffee table. Parissa then asked why he didn't have food in his refrigerator, or any nice décor when he was in possession of the $73 million dollars, noting some of the negativities to the home. Teddy told her he rented it. Parissa then pointed out he didn't truly have a place to call home and Teddy stated it was for the current time and there was an immediate knock at the door. Teddy then signaled Parissa to hide as he moved to his duffel bag he left in the kitchen and grabbed his service weapon, then approached the door with gun in hand as the knocking continued. Teddy then cautiously opened the door and instead, it was Julia, and saw that she was pregnant with child. Teddy was speechless and expecting an invite, Julia entered the house and when Parissa came out of hiding, Jules could see that Teddy reconnected with her. When Jules asked when Teddy started dating Parissa, Teddy then asked about when she got knocked up. Jules then approached the kitchen as Teddy returned his sidearm to his duffel bag and Parissa congratulated Jules on her upcoming child. Julia then asked Parissa to give her a moment with Teddy, who in turn, told Julia that Parissa was up to speed on everything. Julia was surprised and then asked Teddy why Franklin murdered his father. Teddy then told Julia that Franklin believed that he robbed him of his money. Julia then asked Teddy if that was true. Instead, Teddy claimed it was 'seizing illegal funding on behalf of the U.S. Government.' Julia found that answer ridiculous and gave one suggestion to Teddy; return the money. Teddy refused, and Jules pointed out what a danger he was becoming to those around him, while Teddy acknowledged the situation. Julia then lashed out on how his ego would keep him from walking away from the mess while using the 'patriotic duty' excuse. She then stated that the situation will escalate now that his father is dead. She then blamed him for the downfall of their marriage just to fund a war and stated the only good thing she got out of that marriage was her son, Paul. She then stated that Teddy's hubris and pride will get their son killed and demanded he either return the money and fix the mess or she would fix it. Teddy then asked how Jules would deal with it, and Julia threatened to go public with the operation as she left the house.
Cissy[]
There is a knock at the door at Leon's crib and Wanda answered to find Franklin had arrived. She let him in and asked where Leon was and Franklin stated he may be late since he was escorting Louie home. Cissy then approached her son from the dining room and asked if Leon was with Louie. Franklin acknowledged that and Cissy asked about Jerome. Franklin was unable to provide an answer, but the silence was enough of an answer for her to know Jerome's fate. She is later on brought by Franklin to the Angelus Funeral Home where the funeral director presented Jerome's cadaver to Cissy. She then approached her brother's corpse and was stricken with silence and despair. Cissy then immediately backed up and asked Franklin if he suffered. Franklin stated that Jerome did not. Franklin then approached his mother and placed his hand upon her shoulder, but Cissy shrugged him off and exited the room.
Teddy[]
It is the next morning and while Teddy is fixating on his situation at hand, Parissa brought up her negative thoughts on Jules, while bringing up the fact that she had a valid point to give. Teddy then made it clear he will protect his son and assures her they're safe. Parissa could see he was not considering Julia's advice as Teddy, who is pouring 2 cups of coffee, claimed the money should belong to them. Parissa then asked if Teddy meant to split half the fortune with her. Teddy then asked her if that was something she'd like. Parissa then removed the coffee from his his, sat them on the counter, pulled him forward, and told him how she cared for him, naming his qualities, while stating she isn't just in this for the ride, as she stated she was also at risk and would like a purpose in his life. Parissa then told Teddy she'll give him the keys to her lock as they started making out on the kitchen counter.
Louie[]
Back home, Louie is at the table going through some wedding cards while drinking a glass of whiskey and there is a knock at the door. She got out of her seat and motioned toward the door, then moved behind a wall, taking caution as she scratched her scalp and opened the door to see Cissy. She shrugged her robe further closed and invited her inside. They are later at a table near the fireplace and Cissy told Louie how much Jerome loved her and there would be no woman to replace her, especially those he was with. Louie, half a day into being widowed, stated how it took every to keep herself from taking her own life to join him. Cissy finally makes her reasoning for being there and told Louie the war needed to stop. Louie wasn't much for listening as she leaned toward Cissy, putting the blamed for her recent misfortunes on Franklin. Cissy then acknowledged that Franklin set things in motion and clarified they all had a share in it, naming the stolen money, Teddy, and the Contra war in Nicaragua. She then told Louie they all stained their hands. Louie made it clear she lost her husband, who was everything to her. Cissy clarified that the events cost her a brother and her husband and didn't want to lose anyone else. Louie then pointed out that Cissy still had things she still cared for, while claiming everything she loved was gone, making her position known.
Leon[]
Franklin is over at Leon's crib and Leon is giving Renny an order to take a duffel bag of cash to their cookhouse. After Renny grabbed the bag and left, Leon planted himself on his sofa and Franklin asked him what his credit line with him was. Leon stated it was as good as his life. Franklin then requested a favor, that he needed half a million dollars and couldn't provide a timeline when to pay him back. When Leon asked what the money was for, Franklin stated it was for the price of freedom. Outside in the Projects, as they were walking the pathway, Leon reminisced on the fact that Jerome was dead and how different their world was with him gone. Franklin then stated it could have happened to anyone as he pointed out that Jerome was his flesh and blood, while stating that breaking away from the Family was a mistake. Leon then stopped for a moment and Franklin claimed his death wouldn't have happened had he and Louie not branch out. Franklin then told Leon he would return the next day for the cash. Leon agreed to that as Franklin left, stating he owe Leon.
Louie[]
There is a flashback back to the events at Kane's Compound as Jerome had his gun pointed at Kane, who was holding Louie at gunpoint, using her as a bullet shield and kissing the back of her head. There was a moment where Louie could see a tear streaming down Jerome's cheek. Apparently, this was a bad dream Louie was experiencing in her bed as the gunshot rang in her sleep. The nightmare continued with her begging for Jerome to be alright as it was also rife with Indiana lighting the acetylene torch and Kane branding her with a hot crowbar. She immediately awakened, rushed into the living, where she searched some glass bowls to nothing, all the while breaking some glass in frustration and going through her countertops. She found her car keys and blew a rage as she exited her home. She was later driving down the road and all she could do was let out her anger and frustration. As she was screaming out and losing it, she struck some trash cans sitting outside the Bottoms and stopped the car. As Louie exited the vehicle, one of the Bloods, Koko, appeared with a gun drawn on her, asking if she was crazy. Louie mouthed off to him, daring him to shoot her. Another guard appeared demanding to known what happened, and Louie was yelling out Skully's name. There were some Bloods who thought she was insane and the gate guard then shoved Louie away. Louie then snapped at the guard who shoved her and flipped out at Koko once more. She then yelled out for Skully again while daring Koko once more to shoot her. She is later brought to Skully's pad where one of the guards knocks on the door and Skully loses it as he answered. The guard then told Skully the situation that happened outside and Skully then sent the guards off and invited Louie in his home. Skully then closed the door after letting Louie in and asked her what the matter was. Louie then reminded Skully that he said she was welcome to come anytime. Skully acknowledged her and offered her a seat. They are later sat down as Skully was pouring some whiskey on a cotton ball and swabbing the brand mark on Louie's chest with the swab. Louie then asked Skully how he kept peace in his heart after Khadijah and Tianna were killed. Skully then stated he believed their presence was still with him and didn't want the love they had to diminish. Louie then asked Skully if he was so angry, he wanted to torch his home. Skully then made it clear he always felt that way but his late wife and daughter wouldn't allow that. His words gave Louie something to relish on.
Veronique[]
Later that night, at the stash house, Franklin is asleep, but experiencing nightmares, causing him to moan and turn, waking up Veronique in the process. As Franklin continue rolling around, Veronique attempted to wake him up. Franklin finally awakened in terror as he rolled off the mattress. Veronique then told him that he was just having a nightmare. Franklin was in such a panic, he was having difficulty breathing and Veronique urged him to relax. Vee then checked on him and asked if this happened to him before. With his heart beating in his chest, Franklin stated he may have had the episode once. Vee held onto Franklin, assuring him he was fine and safe. Franklin, still dealing with the episode, started calming down, asking what was wrong with him. Vee told him there was nothing wrong, stating they have a plan set, and assured him he was fine. Franklin then stated he wasn't fine.
Louie[]
Louie has arrived back home and upon exiting her vehicle, she discovered her sister, Candy, sitting on the bench outside her home, who hopped up to see what happened to her sister. They approached each other as they hugged and cried together.
Gustavo[]
It is still morning and Gustavo and Xiamara are still sleeping in their bed. They hear a sound outside the bedroom and Xiamara told Oso it was his turn to check on it as she rolled back to sleep. Oso then hopped out of bed and approached the dining room to find Rubén sitting at the table. Gustavo demanded to know why he was there and Rubén stated that he knew about the shipment coming from Colombia, and requested Oso to personally retrieve it and stash it in the warehouse. When Oso asked why he should do that, Rubén stated it would be to set up Teddy for the arrest. Xiamara then appeared and asked who he was. Rubén called himself 'a friend' and Xiamara pointed out the fact that he was armed. Oso then told Rubén he would help but he and his family would need to leave. As Rubén stated his agency could get his family anywhere they'd like, Oso stated they would need money. Rubén then stated that even though they're not as rich as the U.S. Government, they could provide them the funds to start over. Rubén then tumbled over some pieces on a chessboard and prepared to leave, but then turned around and told Oso he would prefer not to hurt anyone. He reminded Oso to be ready in 2 days as he concealed his gun and exited the house. Xiamara is terrified as she ran to the door Rubén exited through and locked all locks on it. Xiamara then approached Oso and told him it was becoming unbearable and starting it should be the end for them. Gustavo then turned his his toward her as she stated it would probably be best if Oso didn't know where they would go. Oso agreed with that assessment and exited the dining room.
Leon[]
Leon is at his crib cleaning his gun and Wanda entered with a basket of items. Leon asked what she had in her arms and Wanda stated it was everything she would need for her new place. Leon then asked if that meant Wanda was leaving him. Wanda took the items to the kitchen and she wasn't leaving Leon, but was leaving the Projects. Leon was shocked to hear that, stating it would have been a good idea to discuss it. Wanda then told Leon had it been up to her, she'd already be out of the PJ's and living with him in Ghana starting a family, while bringing up the fact that Leon was busy preparing for the next conflict. Wanda then made her concern clear that they would share the same fate as Jerome and wasn't willing to stay the course. Leon then told Wanda he had some affairs to settle then he would leave the PJ's in someone else's hands. Wanda expressed how she wanted to believe that as she kissed him and walked out of the living room, but paused for a moment to glance at him then made her exit as Leon resumed wiping down his pistol.
Louie[]
Louie is back home, taking a bubble bath with Candy sitting on the side of the tub, touching up Louie's cuts and bruises with a wash cloth. Louie then asked if Candy remembered someone named Ronald and how they were paid $20 to see how long he could strangle them before they lost conscience. Candy showed how she remembered that and they laughed over it. Louie then stated how every time she felt her throat do a whistle, she'd always have a flashback to that point and it was continuous for her. Candy then reminisced about when they were locked inside a basement with their Uncle Quick, and Louie just broke after going through some bad memories. Louie then told her sister how she fought to avoid it all only to fall backwards into it. Candy then told her sister she was not at fault and Louie just asked Candy how it was that she wound up at square 1 again. She then talked of how she lost Jerome and stating that forgetting his death was the worst part for her. Candy then held onto Louie's palm and kissed it as a pager went off. Candy then went to collect the pager and brought it to Louie, and upon seeing the number, Louie immediately felt annoyed is it was Teddy. Louie later called him and he responded. Louie asked what he wanted and Teddy didn't appreciate her tone as Louie once more demanded what Teddy requested. Teddy pointed out that he was paging Louie, who in turn, stated how she hadn't responded, meaning she was either occupied or dead. Teddy then asked what it was she was busy with and Louie capped a smartass attitude with Teddy, stating she was busy. Teddy then clarified he wasn't making a request and when there was a pause, he called her name on the phone. Louie then told him they could meet at the Fosters parking around 3PM. Teddy then stated he would need to see her immediately, instead, Louie told him that she would see him at the time she requested as she hung up.

Wanda was in the middle of carrying some luggage out and saw Cissy looking out the window. Cissy then stated how she learned Wanda was leaving and offered to help find Wanda a place to stay at one of their apartment complexes as she sat of the sofa next to her. Wanda was surprised, noting how Cissy did more than her fair share for her and thanked her. Cissy then asked if Wanda wanted to take over her position at the Edgewood Shelter as a full-time position. Wanda was immediately speechless as Cissy stated she'd be doing her a favor, noting how she couldn't make an appearance there anytime soon. Cissy then stated how it was possible she couldn't go back anymore. Wanda was a bit surprised and asked Cissy what she'd do once the smoke settled.
Franklin[]
Franklin pulled up under an underpass and jumped out of his vehicle, calling for Oso, who was standing outside next to his truck. Gustavo then told Franklin he couldn't wait any longer, as he stated his plan to leave with his family on the next day, and would need the documents and money immediately. Franklin then stated he had the money but the documents would take time. Gustavo grew frustrated as he lashed out and slammed his hands on the hood of his truck. Franklin then asked what the problem was. Gustavo finally told Franklin the truth of how he was busted by the DEA. Franklin was immediately blindsided by that news as Gustavo stated how they confiscated all his cash and forced him to work as a CI. Franklin became paranoid as he began looking around, asking what the DEA wanted from Oso. Gustavo then stated that they wanted Teddy and told Franklin they were out to get him as well. Franklin lost it as he drew his gun on Oso and demanded to know how long he was a snitch. Oso told him it happened after Franklin walked away from Teddy. He then told Franklin they had photos to nail Louie, but had nothing on Franklin. Oso then stated that the DEA wasn't the only problem, as he spoke of Rubén, asking if Franklin knew he was KGB. Franklin acknowledged him and asked what the situation was. Oso told him that Rubén broke into his home and threatened his family. He basically told Franklin that the DEA and KGB both want Teddy and within 2 days time would want the cocaine in his warehouse. Franklin then asked if Rubén was planning to kill Teddy there, but Oso showed he didn't believe that to be the case. Oso stated how Rubén knew what the DEA was planning and would to see them bust Teddy. He then told Franklin that Tony was growing impatient to where he would scrap the operation and arrest Oso. Franklin then realized he wasn't the only one who had it out for Teddy as Oso stated it was the case as he was reaching a crossroad. Gustavo then urged Franklin to get what he needed ASAP if he wanted Teddy. Franklin agreed to help and stated he could get Oso to buy another day with the DEA but was serious about the fact that he wanted Teddy. Gustavo then told Franklin how he hadn't seen him since Franklin whacked his father. Franklin then noted how Teddy was in hiding, but he stated that he could be the bate. Oso then warned Franklin that Teddy would sense a trap coming. Franklin knew Oso had a point and suggested making Teddy believe he was the one to set Franklin up. Witherspoon realized there was a mess on their hands and Stephen vouched for Teddy as an American patriot, but pointed out the ambitious side and the fact that the $73 million could be of use to the CIA. Witherspoon agreed with that part, but when Stephen stated how the business could improve, his supervisor shook him off, stating he didn't want to know anything about their op, as he told Stephen it was his business only. Stephen then pointed out how the KGB was looking to put the CIA on the evening news with their operation. Witherspoon then told Havemeyer that this was his mess and requested he'd clean it up.

Louie then asked why and Teddy told her that he killed his father and would need her help getting him. Louie then told him that she and Franklin weren't on the same page, and Teddy requested he fix that problem and Louie disagreed with Teddy, who then reminded her that she was working for him, peddling his coke, and getting. Teddy clearly stated he just wanted Franklin. This was too much for Louie as she told Teddy that she would be burying Jerome the next day and stated Franklin caused that to happen.Teddy was surprised to hear that Jerome died. Louie then pointed out to Teddy he wasn't the only person who had beef with Franklin. Louie then promised that after the funeral, she'll do whatever was necessary to get back at Franklin, but demanded Teddy not to bother her until then. Louie then returned to her vehicle.

His sermon came to an end as the singer ended the hymnal.
Big Deon[]
As the sermon came to a close, Deon turned to Leon, and instead of further conflict, he asked if he helped kill those who were responsible for Jerome's death. Leon nodded and Deon showed his respect to him.
Louie[]
As some of the people were departing from the cemetery, Louie stood over Jerome's casket and gazed at the portrait of him taken on their wedding night. Franklin approached her and asked what she needed of him. Louie then asked why Franklin chose to rescue her instead of leaving her to Kane and Percy. Franklin then told her how he was raised to respect women and would not sit well knowing what Kane was capable of. Louie then asked if that was all. Franklin then brought up the other reason, citing the promise she made in Kane's Compound and stated he could use all the help he could get his hands on. Louie then referred to her nephew as the devil and Franklin acknowledged her as he departed, leaving her by the casket.
