Summary[]
Ossie[]
It is the following morning, prior to the previous season, a mailman, Ossie Daniels, is strolling Compton as everyone is opening up shop. He even dropped his thermos outside a chicken eatery only to sweep it up. During that brief timing, a message from Nancy Reagan appeared about the drug epidemic that swept the United States. Ossie appears outside his son's house to find his granddaughter, Tisha, sitting on the front porch, in her PJ's with a stuffed animal. He sees that his granddaughter is worried and asked what the matter was. Tisha tells him her father never came back home. Ossie was astonished and asked her if she's been home alone all night in which Tisha nodded her head.
Tisha[]
Ossie and Tisha are driving toward Louie's nightclub where Tisha's father was working security the previous night. Ossie discovers something amiss where police and EMT's are everywhere and tells Tisha to stay in the car as he exits the vehicle. He runs over to the building while Detective Stern is questioning Jerome and Louie. Tisha then exits the car all the while Ossie is bolting past the yellow police tape, wondering what happened. Tisha continues past the tape as an officer stops Ossie, who is claiming to be the father of one of the murdered victims. The police are attempting to hold him back as Ossie is hysterical to the idea of his son being killed as Tisha continued forward to where there are 2 bodies covered in blankets by the coroners. Jerome then took notice of Tisha as she kneeled down. He and Louie hollered out to her as she lifted one of the sleeves of the deceased, revealing a bracelet with her name on it. Realizing it was her father, she immediately broke into tears as a police officer ran up to her.
Franklin[]
Franklin is in his vehicle and Veronique enters the passenger seat. He starts up the car and drives down the road. As he is driving, there is a moment of silence and Franklin breaks it to Veronique that the forensics account can't aid him with the stolen money, stating that one company doesn't partake in recovery illicit gains and one company required the assistance of the Feds. He then stated that those who claimed otherwise were lying. Veronique then asked what they're supposed to do and Franklin tells her he has another hand to play.
Teddy[]
Teddy is inside Parissa's house. He is staring at a photo of her, just wondering what happened to her while fearing the worst. He then gets a page and heads to the phone. Teddy identifies himself and tells the caller not to discuss anything over the phone for he'll personally approach the caller. He then tells the caller to give him 30 minutes as he hangs up.
Xiamara[]
Xiamara is back home smoking a cigarette on her patio and Gustavo appears. Xiamara expressed her worry asking where he's been as Cedro and Carlo run up to him. She asks once more where he's been and Oso gives her the quiet signal, like nothing happened, Oso then asked who wanted to go bowling, which excited his nephews. He heads back in the house, giving Xiamara an uneasy feeling as to why he was gone all night.
Jerome[]
Back at Louie's, Jerome and Louie are in the stash room that was ransacked by Franklin, Black Diamond, and Dallas. Jerome asked how much was stolen between the club and the warehouse. Louie states it may have been $3 million or more they were robbed of. She then states they both know who knocked off their businesses and asked Jerome how he wants to approach the situation. Jerome tells his wife he'll talk to the boy. Louie was dissatisfied with the idea of Franklin being labeled a boy and stated the robbery is something men, not children, would do.
Veronique[]
Franklin and Veronique arrive at a warehouse. Veronique asked where they are and Franklin stated it's his new stash house. He approached the steel door to punch a code in. Veronique then asked when Franklin got a new stash house, and Franklin states it was courtesy of Peaches. The door is unlocked and both Franklin and Veronique enter. Inside the room consisted of the money Franklin stole from his Aunt and Uncle as well as some weapons. Franklin then made it clear that the gloves had to come off and Veronique stated she had no idea it meant rolling Jerome and Louie. Franklin stated it was the only way to keeping them from bleeding dry and would buy them time to track down Teddy. He then clarifies the problem in which they just can't hand dirty unclean money to some lender and would need to launder the cash into a bank, but needed to be one that would take the cash without question. Veronique is curious to know what Franklin was asking of her, and Franklin brought up how she spoke of her mother's ex-boyfriend, who used to smuggle cocaine from the Bahamas to Miami. Franklin then states he could make the flight to Cayman but thought it be easier to keep the cash stateside. He then points out that Miami is their best bet to launder the stolen cash. Veronique shows her discontent with Franklin's actions, stating he could have sold some of the buildings and got some legitimate loans. Franklin then states they would have lost the downtown property. V tells Franklin they could have built up their empire over again and attempts to persuade him to fix things with Jerome and Louie. Franklin snapped at her, stating what's done was already done and implores her to get on board with the next phase. Veronique then approaches a steel sliding door and opens it to find kilos of cocaine stolen from Jerome and Louie sitting on some shelves. Franklin then asked Veronique if she knew anyone that could help them or would he need to take another direction. Veronique tells Franklin to take another route and demands to leave the place. She then walks off.
Franklin[]
Franklin is meeting with Top Notch at Magic Car Wash Minute and asked if there was an update on Peaches. Top Notch states there is no record of him fleeing the States and suggests a possibility of using a fake passport or just never left America. Franklin makes it clear he wants Peaches found and wants the word out there will be a $250,000 reward to the person who finds Peaches as well as a 3% finders fee for the recovery of whatever is left of his $5 million. Top Notch states that will move things much faster. Franklin then pointed out to Top Notch how he was asked to look into members of Teddy's family, in which Top Notch stated it was Alton's request. Franklin made it known he learn of Teddy's father in Kansas City while his ex-wife and son are residing in Washington D.C. and would like confirmation they are still there as well as other pressure points he could use. Top Notch then reminded Franklin the last time they went down this road, and how it went bad for Alton. Franklin was unmoved and made it known if Top Notch isn't up for the task, he would find someone else that would take it. Top Notch then pointed out that Franklin has been stirring up a pot and asked if he was alright. Black Diamond and Dallas arrive as Franklin stated that what he was doing was patching leaks in his business. He takes off with Black Diamond in Dallas, while calling them out for being late. Black Diamond states there were issues finding a sitter. Franklin then pulls money out and hands it to Black Diamond, telling her to hire a full-time sitter. They approach the car and Franklin tells Dallas to make the drive to PJ's. Before she hops in the car, Black Diamond makes a pun about wanting to be one of them Dynasty ladies.
Teddy[]
Teddy arrives back outside Avi's residence in the area where he last saw Parissa. A flashback to the latter night plays where he requests her to contact him should anyone show up. In that flashback, it showed him attempting to reach out to her about an intruder as well as running out to find her missing. Back to the present, he enters the grounds of Avi's home. He knocks on the door and is welcomed in. Teddy is brought to the tennis court and he discovers Lior is now calling the shots with Avi gone. Lior then asked the guard if Teddy was searched and the guard showed him the pistol in which Teddy stated there was no need for it. Lior wasn't content with Teddy opening his mouth and pointed out his lack of hearing due to the close-range gunfire he received back in Season 4. Teddy states they both have a similar problem and is there to help. Teddy stated how Avi had a lot of enemies who wanted him out of the picture and wanted Lior to provide him information of who they were so he could narrow down the suspect using his resources in the CIA. Instead of giving Teddy what he wanted, Lior obliges him with a story of the worst part of losing half his hearing, stating the balance in which his hearing is off-key and off-centered. He then takes a gun from a guard and turns it to Teddy, making a parable of what would happen if he wanted payback for the hearing loss and taunts Teddy with the pistol while waving it in his direction. Lior lowers the weapon, then raises it up, saying 'Bang', causing Teddy to flinch. Lior makes it known that Avi is gone and their business is done. He then orders the men to get Teddy off the property. Teddy then removes his sunglasses and states that whoever killed Avi has kidnapped an associate of his, imploring him for more help. Lior then asked if the associate who was grabbed meant something to Teddy, in which Teddy humbly nodded. Lior requested Teddy to approach him and face-to-face, Lior blatantly told Teddy to go fuck himself. Lior then yelled out in Hebrew for the guard to throw Teddy off the property.
Gustavo[]
Gustavo, Xiamara, and the boys are at the bowling. While the kids are bowling, Oso tells Xiamara they can't leave town. Xiamara then asked what changed and Oso tells her he cannot talk about it. Xiamara didn't like that response and Gustavo states they just need to live their lives and nothing has changed. Xiamara finds that answer unsettling and doesn't like the idea of carrying on while her home is bugged. The kids run up and Cedro tells his uncle he got a strike in bowling. They then run back to the lanes and Oso asks Xiamara if Teddy ever called the house during the time he was gone. Xiamara states it never happened. He then asked if Teddy ever reached out to her or had knowledge he was gone. Xiamara tells Oso they never spoke. She then states if Teddy was listening in on them, he would know Oso wasn't at the house. Gustavo then states that Teddy wasn't the one who bugged the house, and knows who it was but made it clear he could not provide anymore information. Gustavo then implored Xiamara to trust him, but Xiamara made it known she had a bad track record with guys asking her that. Oso then kisses her on the head and holds her tight as the balls continue hitting the pins.
Jerome[]
Back at Louie's, both Jerome and Louie go over the books to discover Franklin robbed them of roughly $3.4 million and their St. Louis connections, Mack and Terry would personally arrive for the pick up. Jerome reminds her they have no product in their possession, and Louie states they don't have the cash to purchase more. Louie stated that she froze the Panama account after Franklin's account were wiped clean and it would take time to free up some funds. She then states they won't have access to the warehouse since Franklin killed some guards there as well meaning there would be no place to load the vehicles. Jerome then picks up the phone with Louie asking who he's calling. Jerome doesn't answer.
Franklin[]
Franklin's in the back seat while riding with Black Diamond and Dallas. His pager goes off and Dallas asked if he needed an outside line. Franklin reads his page to see it's Jerome and states it won't be necessary. Elsewhere Jerome is frustrated to not get a hold of Franklin.
Cissy[]
Cissy and Rubén are meeting in a park and Rubén apologized for his absence. Cissy then noted that Franklin learned of Avi's disappearance and asked if he was responsible. Instead of answering the question upright, Rubén stated to Cissy how she wanted to know how to get to Teddy and should see what happened to Avi as legitimate proof. Cissy realized if Franklin knew about Avi, so could Teddy. Rubén then stated that would be why they would need to move immediately. Rubén tells Cissy he would need access to Franklin ASAP and requests a meeting. Rubén then hops off the bench, approaches Cissy, kneels down to her and tells her every minute they wait will give Teddy the window to disappear, and the answers to her questions will be gone. He requested the meeting to be on the next morning at the museum and asked her to deliver Franklin. Rubén then takes off.
Big Deon[]
Over in the Projects, Big Deon is testing out the hydraulics on a lowrider some guys are attempting to sell him. Deon tells the seller the hydraulics aren't working properly while being told he isn't using them right. Renny then alerts Deon of Franklin's appearance. Deon states the car is beautiful but under the hood it's busted, while comparing the car to Franklin's 2 enforcers. Dallas took offense to that answer and pulled out her gun. Franklin then ordered Dallas to go wait by the car. Dallas puts her heat away and vacates. Franklin then tells Deon he could hook him up with a car guy in Jefferson. Deon then asked why Franklin walked away from the game and Franklin asked who told him he was out of the game, naming Leon. Deon stated it was him just before he took off with Wanda to Africa. The car seller then asked Deon if they were still doing business, instead Deon told them to get the car out of his sights for he isn't buying it. Deon then continues to Franklin asking why he's there while believing he and Leon were out. Franklin corrects Deon, stating he isn't done with the game, while claiming he has the plug and product that needs moving. Deon tells Franklin he already has a new supplier, Jerome Saint. Franklin then brings up how he's paying 12 grand a key to his Uncle, but can do the same for 10 G's. Deon is intrigued as Franklin states it would be an extra 200K in his pocket for every 100 bricks he moves. Deon then turns to Einstein, asking if that was true. Einstein confirms Franklin's answer. Deon likes the price Franklin is offering, but makes it clear he won't be standing in the middle of a family feud. Franklin guarantees Deon he won't be a part of that and nothing is personal, but business. He then states he'll send Black Diamond and Dallas with 10 keys to him at nightfall and won't get a better deal then what he's been given. Franklin then tells Deon to tell Jerome a better offer was given to him next time they meet. He then suggested to Big Deon if Jerome could best that price, then there would be no hard feelings. He then points out the 200K back in his pocket could get him any car he wanted. Franklin and Black Diamond take off, giving Deon something to relish on.
Gustavo[]
Gustavo is at the warehouse loading the keys when Teddy walks in asking where he's been. Oso stated to Teddy a lie about taking Cedro to the emergency room. Teddy states that was 24 hours ago and Gustavo lied about the time it took to get a doctor available, asking Teddy if he ever had a night like that with his kid. Teddy snapped at Oso for not calling him, stating they have a problem. Upstairs, Teddy tells Oso his LAPD contact, Detective Han, is scouring the jailcells and the hospitals but there is no word on Parissa. Oso then asked who would want to take her. Teddy has no answer, but believed the folks who would take her aren't mere thugs, but highly-trained operatives who could sweat out information. Oso then asked Teddy if he's had some sleep, and Teddy heads to his phone, stating he doesn't need to sleep, but needs to find Parissa.
Ricky[]
At the hospital, Ricky sees Franklin entering with Black Diamond and Dallas. Franklin asks about Kane and Ricky states that he had an episode and needed to be sedated once more. Franklin states that Kane is tough and will pull through. Franklin then told Ricky that Leon is out of the game and left the country, and since Kane was buying from Leon, Franklin offered to step up and sell to him. Ricky then reminded Franklin that Kane is in the ER because of his family. Franklin apologizes for his family's actions and suggests that one way to really hurt Jerome and Louie is to sabotage their business. Franklin then requests Ricky to contact him should he want to talk he departs.
Teddy[]
Teddy and Oso are at an auto shop where there's a vehicle being lifted and Louie arrives. Teddy is wanting to know why they are meeting and would not believe the idea of canceling a honeymoon just to sling dope. Louie isn't giving Teddy a straight answer. Teddy, already stressed from the night before, demands the truth and threatened to end any transactions without the truth. Louie then broke the news that Franklin robbed her and Jerome. Louie stated that someone wiped his accounts, not revealing she knows it was Teddy, and claimed she and her husband were the life raft he used. Teddy states he could have Gustavo give her 300 bricks, and Louie also points out her cash reserves were hit as well and would need them on consignment. He agrees and then asked what would happen between her and Franklin. Louie then states that would be one Christmas she won't spend with him. The meet comes to an end.
Veronique[]
Back at the WSD office, Veronique is in the office overlooking some paperwork and Franklin enters. Franklin asked Veronique if she remembered what she told her back on Catalina about what he did to earn that cash and Veronique acknowledges him. Franklin tells her he ain't starting over again, and Veronique states this was something she didn't agree to partake in. Veronique continues by telling Franklin he was supposed to be out while working hard to get away from her old life and is distraught by his request to launder stolen drug money. Franklin makes it clear this wasn't something he does lightly but clarifies it's about survival and what would happen over the next few weeks would determine the coarse of their lives as well as the unborn child V is carrying. Franklin then begs for V to help out.
Jerome[]
Jerome is in the Projects talking to Big Deon, who reached out about Franklin's proposal. Big Deon made it known he would rather buy from him and Louie, but they'd have to bring the price to 10 Grand a key. Jerome then states to Deon that the only reason Franklin would sell at that price is because it was stolen from him and Louie. Big Deon then made it clear he told Franklin he will not be in the middle of some family feud and just wants to make money. Jerome then asked if he already got the keys and Deon tells him that Black Diamond and Dallas would bring the keys at nightfall. Deon reminded him once more he'd rather buy from him but made it known there is nothing personal.
Teddy[]
Back at the warehouse, Teddy is with Havemeyer, who is asking how much Parissa knows about the op. Teddy stated what she knew couldn't implement them, but Avi's operations are scorched. Teddy then states that unless Stephen wants to shut down the pipeline, they'll need a new gun supplier. Havemeyer considers that. Teddy then asked if there was word from the top brass, regarding the money he stole from Franklin. Havemeyer states the mess needs to be cleaned up, then they would discuss reinstating Teddy in the CIA. Teddy agrees to take care of the mess. Stephen states the assets would help but preferred Teddy to be clean in order to bring him back in the fold. Teddy states the seized $73 million could clean a huge while seeing Oso on the security feed. Teddy talked of his past dream of being in the CIA while he father and brother were military guys and just wanted a seat at the table. Oso enters the office and Stephen departs. Teddy then tells Oso that Franklin is at war with Louie and Jerome and is puzzled that they're not already tearing themselves to pieces. Oso asked if anything was needed from him and Teddy gives him the rest of the day off. As Oso is about to leave, Teddy stops him to apologize about Cedro and the time he spent at the hospital. Teddy then asked what the name of the hospital was. Oso then lied about Verdugo Hills. Teddy then suggested that should anything happen to them, they should steer clear of that hospital. Oso then takes off.
Franklin[]
Veronique has arrived at the airport by vehicle and Franklin is surprised to see her all classy. Veronique states this was how she would present herself in Miami when depositing the stolen money. Beau states the police know it's drug related and their ties to Franklin. Beau states they'll need to tighten things up. Jerome states that is why they pay him so LAPD is off their rears. Buckley makes it clear that would be difficult considering he wasn't a cop anymore. Louie then asked if Beau still had friends on the force. Beau stated he had a few. Jerome tells Beau to keeps those friends close and keep his head clear while staying sober. Jerome gets a page and Louie sends Buckley away. Louie hits the speaker dial as Jerome dials the number. Franklin picks up and Jerome states he had been paging him all day. Franklin states he's been busy. Jerome then requests a meeting, and Franklin made it clear it didn't need to go this way, especially after asking Louie for help. Jerome is distraught to hear Franklin blame his problems on them. Franklin made it clear that Louie stabbed him in the back and stole the plug from him. Franklin then makes it known they're in this game because he put them there while yet they call him the thief. Jerome then warns Franklin that if he does not return what he stole, he'll find out how the game really works. Franklin then welcomes Jerome into coming at him, claiming he entered the game with his eyes open, in which they still are. The phone call comes to an end. Louie then grabs the phone and slams it to cut off the dial tone. Jerome takes a seat and Louie opens up about the previous night. She told him that after she refused to help Franklin get to Teddy, she told him Franklin pulled a gun on her. Jerome fixed his eyes on Louie as she stated Franklin was threatening her life. She then told him if Buckley hadn't been there, it probably would have happened. She stated to Jerome she understood his position about going to war with the Family and would respect it. She then told Jerome, whose mood became even more sour, that he needed to know who he was dealing with.

Franklin states he might be that guy. Richie then offers Franklin a French fry. Oso enters and Tony looks outside to make sure no one was tailing him as he closes the door. Marino tells his team to make sure Gustavo didn't pick up a tail. Tony then reminded Oso of the protocols in place that if they needed to meet, he shouldn't just show up out of the blue. Gustavo then requested an update to Tony, stating how he told Teddy he took Cedro to the emergency room, making it clear Teddy would check up on the hospital records. Marino states that hospital records are hard to retrieve, especially for an intelligence agent and promises to take care of it. Gustavo asked how long it would take and Tony stated they would get it done ASAP. When asked about the hospital, Gustavo stated it was Verdugo Hills. Marino tells Oso it will be taken care, and noted that CI's who listens to them will make it out alive but those who panicked, get flustered, or break protocol are the ones wind up in trouble. Marino tells Oso he spoke with his bosses who wants something that justifies their operations. He made it clear to Oso he wants to see the tunnel that is used to smuggle the cocaine from across the border and would like to see it by the next day. Cissy is then asking Franklin if after what has happened to him, he would believe America would still care about him. Franklin states to her joining with the KGB would mean fleeing the country. Cissy scoffs and tells Franklin the short time Alton was missing was hell for her, and she was alone in Cuba and couldn't speak the language there, fearing she wouldn't be able to see him again. She then stated that aside from the pain and frustration, she feared at the time that she would be targeted as well. She stated it was like that for her until she realized she wasn't a threat to Teddy. She continued her argument as she told Franklin she was done with Teddy and the government that supported him and would like to be the one who brought Teddy McDonald. She then asked Franklin if she was with her on this. Franklin acknowledges her and agrees to the meeting.

Dallas[]
After the drop, both Black Diamond and Dallas are riding down the road and there speaking about Deon whether or not Black Diamond would screw Deon among other things, including Franklin. Black Diamond would not bring up her employer in sex talk, yet Dallas appears to be open about it. A police siren goes off and they see they're being ordered to pull over. Black Diamond tells Dallas they have no product in the car nor can the LAPD legally search the car. They park the car outside a chicken restaurant and Black Diamond tells Dallas to play it cool for if they want the police to search the car, they could oblige them, and have Franklin call a lawyer. One of the cops approached the window with his gun drawn demanding them to keep their hands up and exit the vehicle. Black Diamond then demanded to know what the violation was, instead the officer once again ordered them out of the car. Dallas immediately mouths off to the officer. Another officer orders them out of the car with onlookers witnessing the traffic stop. Buckley then appeared and told them it would be their last warning. Dallas saw it was Buckley and stated he wasn't a cop anymore. Black Diamond agrees to exit the vehicle and they both exit with their hands in the air. Beau then demands they open the trunk. Shortly after, Black Diamond and Dallas see Jerome exiting the patrol car and smoking a cigarette. He approached Black Diamond and asked where Franklin is keeping his stuff they help steal. They make it clear they have no clue nor do they know of the new location. That answer didn't fly with Jerome as he drove his fist across Black Diamond's face, almost knocking her down. Dallas flipped out and went at Jerome only to be grabbed by one of the officers. Jerome then got on top of Black Diamond, pulled a pistol out, demanding once more to answer where Franklin is hiding his stuff. Black Diamond once more gives Jerome the same answer. He makes it clear it won't end until he gets his property back. Jerome then leaves with Buckley and the cops.
