Jerome Xavier Saint is the uncle of Franklin Saint.

Biography

He is an old school gangbanger and an O.G. in South Central Los Angeles, who showed Franklin how to get down and dirty in criminal activity. At the start of the series, he was slinging reefer with his nephew while spending most of his time pumping iron on his front lawn. When Franklin came to him about the idea of dealing cocaine on the street, Jerome outright refused. After Franklin learned how to convert coke into crack, Jerome then considered the idea of slinging the rock. In Season 3, he becomes the owner of Jammin' Jerome's, a store that sells car stereos and other accessories. After a drive by at Fatback's funeral that placed Louie in the hospital, he and his wife decided to part ways with the Family. In Season 5, both him are married and were seeking to distance themselves from the Family, though it was mostly Louie's idea. In the final Season, after Franklin knocked over Louie's and their warehouse, they vowed to go to war with their nephew until returned the money and cocaine he jacked and killed Black Diamond as an example. During that time, he began realizing the life of dealing crack and being shot at was not the life he wanted to live and made it known to Louie. After Louie was kidnapped by Kane Hamilton, he was prepared to go guns-blazing into his territory, but joined forces with a Franklin, Leon, and Skully's Bloodset in storming Kane's compound. When he came face to face with Kane who held Louie as a shield, he and Kane drew on each other and he was able to kill Kane, unfortunately, he was shot in the process and died shortly after.

Legacy

Jerome was old school, he taught Franklin about life on the streets and helped raised him when Alton wandered off from Cissy. He loved Louie to the core, but continued to follow her and raised a hand to those who spoke illy of her. Louie was discovered to be Jerome's Achilles Hill. After the funeral shooting, he was prepared to go gung ho on Manboy and his crew, and when Kane kidnapped her, he was prepared to take the bullet for Louie. His final act on the show was saving his wife.
