Kevin Hamilton is the best friend of Franklin Saint and Leon Simmons and a leader in Franklin's empire. He is a major character turned primary antagonist for Franklin's Storyline in Season 2.
Biography[]
Kevin was a major part of the Family and was loyal to Franklin for a time. He even went as far as to broker with Franklin and his cousin, Devon, who is a vice president for the Murder Dubb Devils. He was faithful to the Family until his cousin, Delroy, was murdered, along with Victor, for dealing crack in Pico-Union, which is run by Los Monarcas. Regardless of the fact that his cousin broke the chain of command and sold rocks there anyway, Kevin was seeing red and wanted blood at any cost. Franklin was able to hold him back for a while when he contemplated the idea of shooting Latinos on the very block his cousin was killed on. Later on he was contacted by Lucia and Oso, who offered him a deal, the recipe on how to cook the rock in exchange for Delroy's killer. Hell bent on payback, he went behind Franklin's back and traded the recipe to the Villanueva's in exchange for information on the man who killed his cousin. His loyalty to Franklin diminished shortly after. Franklin soon learned of his betrayal and confronted him at Acuña Park where he planned to off Conejo. He refused to see reason when Franklin attempted to stop him with words and was willing to kill knowing there would be a war in South Central. He is later shot by Franklin Saint while attempting to take revenge. As everyone was fleeing the park, Lorena, who was there to prevent the shooting, ran up to Kevin to help him. He later dies from his gunshot wound.
Aftermath[]
Franklin was able to escape justice after Teddy coerced Lorena into recanting her statement. 2 years later, his older brother, Kane, was released from prison and set out on payback for his little brother with the help of Peaches. He launched 3 separate drive-by's which ultimately failed.
Legacy[]
Kevin was shown to be impatient and trigger happy. He was driven to revenge for a member of his family after Delroy's death. His loyalty to the Family diminished as well as his friendship with Franklin. He had it in his head that Franklin has held him back and chose his own path of payback. His hubris and his desire to kill Conejo were his downfall.
