Lucia Villanueva is the daughter of Sinaloan drug lord Mauricio Villanueva and the heiress to the Villanueva Cartel.
Biography[]
Season 1[]
She and her cousin Pedro wanted to branch away from the cartel and start their own business venture in the coke game. They recruited El Oso, an ex-wrestler, into breaking in her Uncle Ramiro's home and stealing his money stash. Most of their dealings were with Alejandro Usteves and Logan Miller, but learned that Logan died and met Reed Thompson, who took over. She then built some chemistry with Gustavo, creating some tension and jealousy for Pedro, who finally confessed everything to his father. Ramiro enacted a hostile takeover, seeing how it was his money that funded their operations. Lucia wasn't too happy with it and reached out to the Los Monarcas to whack her Uncle and his Sicarios. Her father, Mauricio, passed and the Mexican Mafia chose to off Ramiro during the wake. After the hit, She made Oso a partner and Pedro made a run for it.
Season 2[]
Shortly after making Oso a partner, Lucia began running the family operations out of the warehouse. Still looking for Pedro, recruited her Uncle Miguel in finding him. Lucia decided she wanted to expand her family business to the hierarchy's of the Mexican Mafia, La Fuerza. Her cousin later reemerged and declared he was engaged to one Soledad Caro. Lucia soon figured out that his 'fiancé' was law enforcement after a deal with Los Monarcas went sideways and pinned Pedro as a snitched. She was then confronted by Gabriella Elias over the issue, and Lucia claimed it self defense, Gabrielle refused to buy it. Desperate to save the family, Lucia offered up the recipe, especially knowing she didn't have it. When Franklin refused to provide the recipe, she and Oso reached out to Kevin Hamilton and offered up Conejo, his cousin's killer in exchange for the recipe. Before she set off the La Fuerza's place, she confronted Pedro about Soledad, and when he revealed that she was DEA, Lucia killed him. She then learned the DEA raided the warehouse and arrest Oso. Lorena finally made herself known and demanded she turn herself in. After giving the recipe to the Elias's, she surrendered to the DEA. Later, Lorena learned about a possible hit and demanded where it would happen. That led them to Acuña Park where Conejo was spending time with his daughter. When a gunshot rang out, everyone was running, especially Conejo who run carrying his daughter while fleeing and spotted Lucia within moments of fleeing. The CIA was able to close down the DEA op, however, Lucia and Oso were made acting informants upon their release. As Lucia was gathering things in her home, she was attacked by Conejo, who believed she was trying to have him killed. Gustavo was able to jump in and fight him. Gustavo was then stabbed up and Conejo was injured after they flew over a railing. Lucia managed to shoot Conejo but not kill him as he fled. She held Gustavo in her arms begging and crying for him not to die. It is discovered that she fled to Miami while Gustavo was in the hospital.
