Summary[]
Intro[]
We first see Franklin pacing around at his WSD office and sitting in front of his filing cabinets patiently waiting for the results on the recovery of his stolen fortune. At King Independent, William Cox exits his office straightening his jacket and informing his assistant, Christina, that he's heading to a lunch meeting and would be back in an hour. After he left, Christina ran into his office, pulled down a portrait from a wall, revealing a wall safe. She then pulled a book off the shelf and found the code to the safe, in which she attempted to crack. She was spooked to a commotion outside but went on to opening the safe where she pulled out some files. William is at a fancy restaurant where he met with Cassandra, who is under the guise of a customer seeking financial advice as he ripped on big banks for being too slow. Cassandra then stated how big banks are big for a reason, stating the access they have to more capital and other services. William then stated that while that was true, he could provide the same thing, but at a much smaller institute. William then gets a page and informs Cassandra he'll need to make a quick call. He heads off momentarily as Cassandra gazes at her watch. Back to King Independent, Christina exited the building with the files in her purse and approached a car to enter the back seat, where she met Veronique who was under the guise of an FBI agent. She then requested the files which Christina handed to her. As Veronique began taking photographs of the files, Christina began explaining that she had no clue about Williams 'business dealings'. The driver and fellow con man, Neil, gives Christina a pitch that the bureau has no interest in her and her cooperation would be reported. Over to the restaurant, William returns back to the table informing Cassandra that he'll be cutting the meeting short and returning to the office to deal with a customer who has a financial problem as he is pulling out money for the tab. Cassandra then tells William that her time fragile and doesn't appreciate her time being wasted. William apologized and stated this was urgent as he walked away, giving Cassandra and Veronique a smaller window. Back over to King Independent, Veronique is still taking photos and gets a page from her mother, breaking the news that William is returning earlier. William is driving down the road and as Veronique gets the final photo, Neil alerts them that his vehicle is approaching. Veronique then returns the files to Christina, although Neil pointed out that she won't be able to put everything back on time and suggested Veronique to do her thing. William exits his vehicle and Christina exits the car, where she hesitantly drops her keys and sweeps them up where she hastily moves toward the entrance. As William is approaching his place of business, Veronique calls his name, and claims to be someone named Robyn Johnson from John Marshall High. William is confused, and Veronique clamors him with some nonsense while observing Christina still trying to enter the building, whereas she drops the keys and fishes them up to where she finally gains access. Upon Christina gaining access to the place of business, Veronique wraps things up and William heads back to his office, still having no clue who that was. William entered the building and Christina who was on the phone noted that he got back quickly, but William stated it wasn't fast enough as he entered his personal office.
Franklin[]
Franklin returns back to his home, which was still in ruin courtesy of the sham raid, and approached Veronique and Cassandra who are in the kitchen on the bar reading the files and asked what the update was. He kissed Vee on the head as Cassandra stated they found everything they need to find the money, naming the accounts, transfers, and routing numbers. Franklin then asked if it meant he got the money back. Cassandra then stated they have a paper trail to track down his fortune accessing several accounts through various banks. She then stated that they managed to track 2 transfers and there was a withdrawal with no record of where it landed. Franklin then asked what that meant and Veronique stated that it meant William has no access to it. Franklin then put it together that Teddy then transferred the money out on his end and now knows where it is. Franklin then showed he was dissatisfied as he thought the middleman was the key to retrieving his cash. Cassandra then reminded Franklin how she stated that Teddy had help. Franklin expressed his impatience to them and Cassandra then told Franklin she was expecting some gratitude. Franklin continued to be irate, knowing he still doesn't have his money back. Veronique attempts to calm Franklin down but Franklin is at his wits end as he stated they spent 3 weeks finding the accountant only to find out that they need Teddy to find the money. Franklin then lashes out with some sarcasm and swipes some items off the bar in frustration. Veronique calls his name out but Franklin was too irritated calling the hunt a waste of time. Franklin is then pulling off his necktie as Cassandra states the game they're playing rewards those who are patient and suggested that Franklin should take that in consideration. Veronique then states to Franklin that they made progress in the information they retrieved. She also stated they knew they would come across a hurdle and had a contingency in place. Franklin finally calmed his nerves and asked if they're planning to head in that direction. Cassandra stated there was a plan to leave the following day, but after the disrespect she received, she stated she was reconsidering the job. Veronique expressed her concern and Franklin reminded her of the $7.3 million she would earn if they pulled off the con. Cassandra then asked Franklin if he thought that was what she wanted in this and Franklin pushed on to the point where Veronique put her foot down and ended the fight. She then asked Cassandra to exit the kitchen so she could have a word with Franklin. Cassandra then heads away.
Leon[]
Over in the Projects, Leon is walking through the playground where he sees the overhead light is still broken and shards of glass lying on the ground. He then spots Einstein asking why he wasn't in school. Einstein stated he overslept, but would have plenty of time to make the RTD. Leon then made a pun to RTD, Rough Tough and Dangerous and offered to give Einstein a ride. Leon then asked Einstein if Deon was the one who shot out the lights in the playground and Einstein stated it was Deon's idea to give their dealers more cover. Leon then asked about Einstein's education, which he said was okay, and Leon points out the tardiness. Leon then asked Einstein if he ever applied for any colleges. Einstein stated he got a few applications but was reconsidering heading off, stating he didn't know if college was for him or not. Leon stated that college wasn't for everyone but Einstein was meant for it. He then asked if the guidance counselors were helping him out and Einstein stated he would have been recommended to a community college or a trade school. Leon didn't like the sound of that answer.
Rubén[]
Rubén is back at his safehouse as he is on his bed in his underwear and gets a phone call from a KGB sleeper agent given a code about a 'pipe burst' over at Parker Center and was requested over there. He stated he was on his way and hung up. He looked over to his partner, Edwin, stating he must answer to a pipe burst. He puts down his cigarette and Edwin then reminded Rubén he tried to get him to hire additional help. Rubén then grabs his jeans and throws them on, stating he'll need a few hours. Edwin tells him he won't hold his breath as he enters the bathroom with Rubén smacking him on the ass.
Wanda[]
Back in the Projects, there are 2 punks spray painting a passed out female junkie and Wanda, upon seeing it, snaps at the boys to leave her alone. She rushed over to the woman and shooed the boys away. Wanda then checked on the woman who is regaining conscious but still stuck on the rock. Wanda then observed the arid area around here from the cash exchange to crack smoking, realizing she was in an area too familiar to her.
Franklin[]
Over to the stash house, Franklin is overlooking a file with Vee stating he is in the red when it came to income and Kane wasn't moving close to enough product to make a dent. Vee asked if Franklin was going to have a word with him and Franklin said he would. Vee then expressed her frustration about the disrespect Franklin show to her mother, stating she was about to walk away but was able to convince her otherwise. She then pointed out how risky the next plan was and how vital Cassandra was to it. Franklin admitted he never should have acted that way and Vee showed her understanding of how frustrated Franklin was but made it clear Cassandra got them where they were. Franklin acknowledged that and suggested coming with them on the next phase. Veronique then stated he would just be stuck in a hotel room which would be of no help to them and recommended staying in LA and fixing the problem with Kane, promising to get a hold of him once they have an update.
Kane[]
Over at Kane's home, Kane is barely walking with a cane in hand and Franklin asked where they have him doing his physical therapy. Kane states he isn't doing such a thing as he approached his bed. Kane then stated how he was told a month prior by the doctor that he wasn't going to walk again and suggested that either a miracle happened or the doctors were talking nonsense. Kane then suggested that he didn't believe in miracles. As Kane puffed a cigarette, he asked why Franklin was really there. Franklin stated he was there to make him more money and with demand high and his territorial control, they're not moving enough product. Kane then suggested they weren't moving Franklin's product fast enough. Franklin then stated moving it wasn't the problem but making it was. Ricky, then pointed out that war with Franklin's Aunt Louie and Uncle Jerome was not helping them but if the cooking was the problem, Franklin should cook the crack himself. Franklin then stated if it came to that he would and requested to inspected their cook houses and improve their issues. Kane laughs at the idea and shoots a pun at Franklin, who in turn, reminded Kane he built an empire and saw they weren't interest in how he did it. As Franklin got up and prepared to walk off, Kane stopped him and had Ricky take Franklin to their cook house. Kane then asked if there was anything else needed and Franklin stated they were good as he followed Ricky out.
Rubén[]
Rubén is at the meet point when Jacob rolls up. He hops out of his vehicle to inform Rubén there were no survivors during the raid and the bodies and vehicles were looted. Rubén whacked his vehicle in frustration, making it clear he knew intercepting the shipment was a mistake and warned the Center. Jacob then stated that the Center feared Teddy would catch on to them and wanted to accelerate the timeline. He then requested Rubén to call in a tip on the warehouse. Rubén stated he didn't know what was in the warehouse or when and if Teddy and his handler were there. Rubén then reminded Jacob they got one opportunity and cannot afford another mishap. Rubén then turned back to his car and struck the top, then he requested Jacob to tell the Center he's his attention away from Cissy and Franklin and will focus on Gustavo. Rubén states that Oso is vulnerable, knows more, and would help them move forward. The meeting comes to an end.
Teddy[]
Teddy is over at Parissa's home and Parissa stated to Teddy that if she hadn't ran that day, she could be hostage to the KGB or worse. Teddy then stated it would be a safe bet to relocate her till the heat dies down. Parissa then asked where would she head to and Teddy suggested staying with him. Parissa then asked if Teddy was using a Russian spy game as an excuse to get her to move in with her. Teddy didn't answer. Parissa stated her place had no value but she liked where she was, and suggested she could keep her distance if Teddy was facing too much peril at his doorstep. Teddy then stated he could never tell if Parissa was playing with him or not. Parissa smiled and suggested it would be to keep Teddy on his feet and asked how he was planning to solve his dilemma. Teddy stated he needed to figure out how much the KGB know and Parissa asked what if the KGB knew everything. Teddy then stated if they knew everything, he would already be in jail, leaving him with 2 options, one of them being to shut down the operation and fix the issue, where he may or may not have a career. Parissa then suggested taking the money he jacked from Franklin and leave the country. She asked if that would be a bad thing and Teddy stated it would be. Parissa stated she understood what it was Teddy wanted and influence came in many forms, claiming the fortune he pilfered was one. She continued on noting he may not have been raised to be that power should be attained, but such an influence could put him in the middle of it all. Teddy then leaned over and asked Parissa if she'd come with him should he flee, and Parissa told Teddy to ask him once he makes such a decision and they'll see about it, giving Teddy something to reminisce on.
Cissy[]
Cissy returns home and upon entry, she hears a commotion in the house. Cissy immediately pulls her pistol out of her purse and points it toward the direction she heard the sound. She looks around the corner and Wanda appears with a box. Wanda then freaks out to Cissy with a pistol pointed at her and drops a box, raising her hands in the air. Cissy then flipped out and snapped at Wanda, who in turned apologized, exclaiming she just needed to gather her things. Cissy stated she had no clue she was back from vacation. Wanda stated she has been back since the day prior, claiming to still be jet-legged, while stating she is residing in the PJ Watts area at the current time. She then told Cissy she still had her keys and just wanted to collect her belongings. Cissy was stilled shocked and her blood pressure was up, when Wanda apologized sincerely, in which Cissy stated how close she was to shooting her. They are later in the kitchen and Cissy asked how the married life was like. Wanda stated that the married life was great but feared how she could make it in the Projects especially with crack everywhere and silently broke into tears. Cissy grabbed Wanda's hands and asked if she saw all the clothes in the house, in which Wanda acknowledged. Cissy told her the story of how Alton got sober and focused on something other than himself in which he got a since of direction. Wanda then asked if she was talking about the shelter. Cissy nodded as she told Wanda there was a long road ahead and it would be best to stay busy.
Franklin[]
Franklin and Ricky arrive at the cook house and are greeted by the cook house manager, Todd, who makes a shady pun. Franklin then shut off the radio. Franklin then orders the ladies out of the cook house, which didn't settle with the gangbangers as they made their exit. Franklin then tells the cook house staff they can't make good product when the work area is a pigsty. Todd is confused to hear Franklin refer to the cook house as a work area. Franklin stated that Kane sent him due to their productivity being slow and noted it being slow due to everyone screwing around in there. As he enters the kitchen, he shuts off the stove and makes it known that going forward, the cook house was to operate 12 hours straight and told Todd and another cook, Anthony, that both men are to work for six and switch off, while making it clear that more guys would be drafted to continue moving thing forward. Anthony then asked Ricky who Franklin was to boss them around, and Ricky made it clear that Kane sent him and expected some cooperation from him. Todd was offended to Franklin insulting his work place and makes it clear he didn't appreciate it, while making it clear he knew who Franklin was, and made it clear he wouldn't comply with Saint on anything. Franklin didn't like Todd's tone as he struck him in the jugular, threw the pot off the hot stove, and pushed Todd's face onto the stove plate, burning the right side of his face. He released Todd who was screaming in pain after the incident. They exit the kitchen and Franklin told the boys that whoever wanted to make money and do things the proper way should stick around and ordered those who didn't to leave the cook house. As everyone exited, Anthony asked Ricky if they were getting disciplined and instead Ricky told him to leave. Franklin then threw his gun onto a desk as everyone left. Ricky then asked what the plan was, and Franklin asked Ricky if he ever cooked crack before. Ricky then asked if he was serious and there was a knock on the door. Ricky answered and it was Anthony who stated he wanted to work. Franklin agrees to let him back in.
Einstein[]
Einstein is in Deon's money room counting the money set in front of him and rubber banding some of them together while writing everything down in a ledger. He then takes a bite of his street taco and looks at his USC application. Deon then walked in to see if they were good in there. Einstein stated he was taking a break and was close to finishing. Deon then saw the paper he was staring at and pulled it from his hand to take a gander. He scoffs and lays the application down, claiming that there was nothing worse than more school. Einstein then stated it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a higher education. Deon then asked what more could Einstein learn, claiming he was already smarter than the professors. Deon then pointed out how Einstein kept the money clean while dealing with the banks and other government forms. Deon then made it known it would be a waste to pay a staff member that wasn't as smart as him while he was making more money working for him that anyone could imagine. Deon then threw down a clip of money, calling it a bonus for his hard work. Renny then entered the room and alerted Deon of Leon's appearance. Deon then grabbed his pistol and followed Renny out. Afterwards, Einstein looked at the clip of money and pocketed it.
Leon[]
Leon is in Deon's crib and Deon and Renny appear. Leon tells Deon it would be a good idea to restore the playground lights and Deon disagrees. Leon then states the PJ Watts doesn't need to be dark to enact business and wasn't like that under his leadership. Deon then reminded Leon that it was his word about laws changing, especially with the police crackdowns, and the tighter punishments. Deon claims to be doing what he could to protect his people. There is gunfire outside and Deon and Renny draw their guns to see the commotion. He then sees Einstein, who walked past him to join with Deon and Renny while there is still gunfire going off.
Kane[]
Kane is back at his place as he is getting a visit from his cook house manager, Todd, whose face was bandaged and was not satisfied with the visit. Todd reminded Kane that he and Ricky were keeping things under wrap while he was in the emergency room. He also brought up a crewmember who was whacked while they rode together. Kane clarified he would deal with Franklin. Todd then lost his cool, stating it was Franklin who burned his face and talking wouldn't fix the damage. Kane took a dip of the yeyo on his plate and stated to Todd it was him who sent Franklin to fix the problems that he was in charge of chose to lash out instead of listening. Kane then asked Todd if he was going to listen or would he need to face some discipline. He then compares Franklin to a ho, and that hos make money, which was something he liked to see.
Franklin[]
Franklin arrives back at Kane's cook house while Anthony and a restaurant employee are cooking crack. He is let in as he approached the kitchen and covered his face with a bandana, offering some assistance. Franklin then asked if Jamel brought some burgers and made it known the question was rhetorical and decided to get back to work on the crack.
Todd[]

Todd stated he was one of the guys he sent to shoot up the club and apologized. Louie noticed the bandaged face and could tell their was a fallout between them. Todd bluntly stated 'Fuck Kane' and stated the same thing for Franklin. Upon hearing that, Jerome and Louie appeared to be obliged to hear Todd out.
Leon[]
It is nightfall in the Projects and Leon is smoking a cigarette while Big Deon is doing bench presses. Deon finishes a set and sees Leon across from him. Wanda then appears and kisses him. She then told him about how she went down to the Edgewood Shelter with Cissy. They then hear Deon holler out if Leon married her while making a lewd statement on Wanda's behalf. They ignored Deon and Wanda stated how Cissy needed assistance at the shelter in which she agreed to volunteer at. Leon then asked if she was satisfied with it, and Wanda talked about a 14-year-old girl bringing her baby sister to find some formula after their mother sold it all but was able to help out which she stated felt nice. Leon then stated that after returning back it felt right to do such an act but made it known everything around him has changed since he left the Projects in Deon's hands and everything he remembered has vanished. Leon then explained how he tried to straighten out Deon but only realize it was just talk with no action. Wanda leans her head upon Leon and Deon hops up from his bench set, flinging his junk at Leon and Wanda. Leon glares toward Deon's direction and Wanda instead turns Leons face to start kissing him as Deon ran his mouth off toward them. After the kiss, Leon further stares toward Deon, realizing the Projects isn't safe under him.

At the warehouse, Teddy is informing Oso that there was a possibility that KGB would know it was them that killed their people in Costa Rica and would trail them to LA. Teddy then told Gustavo that from that point on, sure he see anything suspicious or is follow, he is to be contacted immediately. Gustavo acknowledged him. Teddy then noted Oso for the handywork he did with the Berretta's and Oso said he learned that during his time with the CIA. They exited the warehouse and Gustavo went to his truck. Oso started up his truck and drove off with Teddy overlooking him as if something was amiss.
Xiamara[]
Oso returns back home where Xiamara is on the phone with her mother. She informed her mother that Oso returned, promising to call back as she hung up the phone. She approached demanding to know where he was. Instead of letting Oso answer, she bluntly tells him to get out of her home. As Gustavo was prepared to explain himself, Xiamara cut him off, making it clear this wasn't what she signed up for and demanded him to leave. Gustavo then grabbed his bag and left the house.
Gustavo[]
After being kicked out by Xiamara, Oso is now at a bar taking some tequila shots. Rubén then walks up and hops onto a stool to order a beer. As the waitress serves Rubén, she gazes at Gustavo. Rubén then takes a drink of his cerveza and tells Oso of a parable his father told him. Rubén then further asked Oso what landed him on the barstool. Oso then asked if roses would fix his dilemma at home, and Rubén stating he wasn't referring to the woman, but his issues with the CIA and DEA, while mentioning his name, Gustavo. Immediately, Oso put down his glass and his mood changed. Rubén asked him to calm down, claiming he could help him. Gustavo then asked who he was and Rubén stated they met before but he looked a little different the latter time. Rubén then stated that he knew Oso had his back against a wall and has connections to remedy that. Rubén then continued, stating he wants the exact same thing the DEA wants, which was proof of the CIA trafficking drugs in the United States. He then promised forged documents, new identities for him and his family, and plenty of cash, if he helps out. Gustavo was silent and Rubén stated he didn't have to trust him all the while pointing out that Teddy isn't working for the CIA. Rubén continues as he tells Oso that Teddy has been lying to him, claiming the CIA is protecting him, yet Teddy doesn't have the resources to provide that. He then stated to Gustavo that America doesn't care about him and honestly states he doesn't either but is offering a simple transaction. He requested him to get Teddy and Havemeyer in the warehouse at the same time so he could get them arrested and offered him a way out as a reward. Rubén then pays his tab and tells Oso he'll give him a days time to decide as he leaves.

Tony then hands Oso a cup of coffee, telling him it's normal to second guess themselves before the day comes but points out that things could change for Oso, whether he agrees to WITSEC or not. Tony continues further reminding Oso he helped build this case, stating that once word of the raid hit the airwaves, the CIA would have bigger problems than Oso, so long as Teddy, the cash, and the drugs were all in the warehouse. He then tells Gustavo to sober up.
Franklin[]
Franklin is at Kane's home telling him the cook house off Alondra is going well and has Ricky scouting for another house to cook in. As Kane is smoking a cigarette, Franklin states that within a few weeks, they would more than quadruple their product. While Kane agreed, he brought up the fact of Franklin roasting Todd's face. Franklin stated he did what needed to be done. Kane found that answer condescending as Franklin stated it got them back on track. Kane then puts out his cigarette in an ash tray and told Franklin that his boys had his back for a long time while making it clear that just because they are business partners doesn't make them friends, all the while a black sedan is approaching Kane's home. Franklin then pointed out to Kane that his homies were taking advantage of him. Franklin then stated that he has no problem with Kane's crew curtailing his income but makes the argument that he won't allow his crewmembers to do the same to him. Franklin then raised his voice making it clear he won't allow Kane's boys to sabotage him. Kane then got angry, making it clear disciplinary action is in his corner and tells him not to get it twisted. As they continued arguing, there is gunfire outside the house, in which a window shatters, causing Franklin and Kane to take cover. They are both on their hands and knees ducking the gunfire and Franklin follows Kane to the hallway who is yelling at him to keep up. Franklin then gets to Kane who pointed Franklin toward the kitchen, and there they took cover next to the sink where Kane reaching underneath the sink and pulled out a sawed-off shotgun. As the gunfire continues to pop off, Kane is wondering who is shooting at them. Franklin immediately spotted a gunman approaching from the kitchen and shot him dead. Kane then saw another enter from the hallway and fired a round in his chest. Franklin soon realized it was Todd that Kane shot, who was barely alive. Franklin then finished Todd off with a bullet to the head. Kane then pointed to Franklin that they needed to go through the back door, and as they stood up to flee, Kane snapped at Todd's corpse while spitting in his direction. They then exit through the back toward the alleyway and upon being shot at, they stumbled and Franklin was able to kill another gunman who pursued them through the backdoor. Leon immediately tackled Deon to the ground and started hitting him as everyone circled around them. Deon then got the upper hand as he rolled Leon on his back and started beating him. Wanda yelled out for Leon to take him down as she ran toward them, only to be held back by Einstein. Leon was then able to shove Deon off of him as he jumped back onto Deon and placed him in a headlock. Deon then lifted Leon up and slammed him on the ground. As Deon got on his feet and yelled at Leon about how he let the people in the Project starve while claiming he isn't worthy to lead as he stood over him.
