Summary[]
Teddy[]
We see a plane stranded somewhere in the Mexican Desert, and Teddy is duct taping the landing gear and Alejandro out cold. Apparently they had a hard landing in the desert and Teddy is working to get the plane ready for flight while preserving some of the water they have and doing what he can to keep his comatose pilot alive. He then points out that the change of landing zone was his idea and the last thing he wanted was an incident at Hawthorne, all the while berating the coma-stricken Alejandro. He drinks more water and returns to work on the plane.
Gustavo[]
As Gustavo is counting the bags of cocaine, Lucia is near the front door informing her female employees that there was no work for them today. The ladies leave and Lucia returns back into the lab to count the money while Gustavo finished bagging up the baggies and storing them in a cabinet. Lucia informs Gustavo that they won't be able to make the next shipment especially with Ramiro between them and the Eastside. She does point out that with Independence Day on the horizon, they may be able to make some ground. She does ask if Oso is heading anywhere on the 4th. Oso tells her sure. She kisses him on the cheek and wishes him a happy 4th of July.
Franklin[]
Franklin is in the kitchen looking at an old photo as Cissy returns home and enters the kitchen to greet her son. Franklin tells his mother how he pulled some lawn chairs to take to Jerome's place as per her request. Cissy reminds him the request was for day prior. Franklin did ask if she remember the 4th of July parties they used to throw at their home and pointed out his father showed no respect for this country yet used it as an excuse to get crazy. He reminisces about his buddies from Oakland being there and shows her the photo he was staring at. He asked about how he never saw the photo before and states how well she can use a camera. Cissy then states that photography doesn't exactly pay the bills nor does his disrespectful actions. Franklin informed her that he quit his job at Cho's. Cissy then points out to Franklin that she can't have him being idle for too long while preparing to make dinner and asked if he wanted anything to eat. Franklin tells her he already ate while staring at his photo consisting of his father at a young age as a black panther causing a scene in front of two cops. The next day, Franklin is near a homeless encampment under a bridge asking for directions, and at a police station he sits and waits while some visitor is causing somewhat a disruption and getting mouthy with one of the guards as he sees his father being released. Alton turns and actually sees Franklin and pauses for a moment but when he collects his things Franklin leaves. Alton then turns toward where Franklin was only to see him gone.
Gustavo[]
Gustavo is at the crack house doing pull ups as well as relaxing and watching television. As he is resting, he hears the door opening and reacts only to see Pedro entering. Pedro tells him to come along with him to his family's 4th of July party. Gustavo states it not so much a good idea. Pedro does point out that he already informed his family that Oso does collections for him so it would be awkward not to come along and suggests getting some clean clothes.
Teddy[]
Still stranded, Teddy is taking a piss on the dirt and thought to ask a coma induced Alejandro who lost more men at Lexington and Concord and imitates a buzz stating how the redcoats received the worst of it on their end. Apparently, he is out of his mind knowing he can't fly a plane himself while keeping the plane from falling apart and the only person that can fly them home is out cold who he constantly converses with on unusual topics, especially talking about spending his 4th of July stranded in a desert in Mexico with a Nicaraguan contra and 75 kilo of Peruvian cocaine. As he continues to keep an invalid Alejandro nourished with water, the parachute used as a canopy to keep Alejandro shaded blows off do to a gust of wind and Teddy chases after it. He manages to get a hold of the parachute and as he returns to the plane, he sees the jug of water pouring out. He drops the parachute and manages to save the rest of the water and place it the jug in the plane. He then jumps on Alejandro body and explains the situation. He demands for him to wake up as the winds blows harder and even slaps him across the face but it's useless.

Franklin places a change of clothes for Alton outside the bathroom while he is showering. Cissy later approaches Franklin and scorns him about bailing him out and telling him where the party was. She asked Franklin how he was able to bail him out especially with the salary he had. Cissy tells Franklin she can't do this with Alton there, but Franklin reminds her she allowed Alton to stay. Cissy then Franklin Alton can have one hour tops then he's out of there. Franklin rejoins the party and approaches Jerome and Louise who ask about Alton being at their home, with Alton looking outside the bathroom window at them.

Pedro, of course, jokes about no one else wearing a tie. Ramiro approaches the trio and Pedro introduces him to El Oso. Pedro recommends Oso to his father as a member of the Cartel. Ramiro asks Oso to come talk with him. After they walk inside, Lucia scolds Pedro for letting Gustavo sit with his father. She fears a possibility of being strung up by him. Pedro reminds her he is his only son and nothing will happen to him, he then tells her to be calm. She then walks off.

Teddy is digging in the desert and pulls out a heavy duffel bag, possibly containing the cocaine and loads other bags like that in the plane. Alton asked further, whether it was a shelving accident at Cho's or slinging for his uncle. Franklin told him to shut it and didn't want to hear his stories or apologies.
